Tough weather conditions plagued us all weekend but that didn’t stop us from getting out there and getting into some good fish despite the wind and the rain. Fridays fishing was pretty quiet with some small Snapper caught and also a nice Maori Cod caught by Spotty that weighed in at 3kg.
Saturday Brent and his father brought their friends out for a full day group charter where we were forced to stick in close and fish the Caloundra 9 Mile reefs. But with a good variety of fish being caught such as Snapper, Tuskfish, Perch, Small Tuna, Maori Cod and also a lovely Coral Trout the boys were kept busy.
Sundays 3/4 trip was wet, wet and wet! Terrys group had a tough day with non stop rain but good Snapper and nice haul of crabs at the end of the day made it all worthwhile.
On Tuesdays trip we headed out for a half day charter and were joined by international rally superstars Katsu Taguchi and Guarav Gill! While it was once again wet and windy the group still caught some nice Pearl Perch and Maori Cod. Katsu also got plenty of fish including a nice size Moses Perch. Crabbing is always very tricky this time of the year as they tend to bunch up and you can miss them by just a few metres. Luckily this time we didn’t miss them and the guys all hoped off the boat with plenty of cooked crabs to take home.
