Q: What is Top Catch Charters?
A: Top Catch Charters offers guided fishing trips on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. We provide a memorable fishing experience for all ages and skill levels, taking you to the best fishing spots in the region. Whether you’re a local or visiting, our expert crew will ensure you have a great time on the water!
Q: How many boats do you have?
A: We have only the ONE boat which takes up to 12 passengers. It is a 45 foot Harriscraft so plenty of deck space onboard.
Q: Where do you pick up passengers?
A: We pick up passengers from 125 Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba, QLD. Our boat is located outside the Sunreef Dive Centre/Riceboi restaurant right next to the big Whale Watching boat and commercial cruise boats for easy access.

Q: What types of fish can I catch on a charter?
A: The Sunshine Coast is home to a variety of fish species throughout the year. During the summer months, you can expect to catch species such as Snapper, Mackerel, Coral Trout, Kingfish, and Flathead. In winter, Tailor, Jewfish, Tuna, and Cod are commonly found. A: The most commonly caught fish on our charters include Snapper, Mackerel, and Kingfish. These are popular choices for both beginners and experienced anglers!
3. Charter Requirements & Restrictions
Q: Are there age limits for the fishing charters?
A: Yes, we have age restrictions for different charter lengths:
- Half-day trip: Minimum age 6 years.
- 3/4-day trip: Minimum age 8 years.
- Full-day trip: Minimum age 12 years.
Q: Do I need to bring my own food and drinks?
A: Yes, you will need to BYO food, however we do supply water and soft drinks. You may also bring alcohol, but please note that only cans are allowed—no glass bottles and not an excess supply due to safety.
Q: How many people can go on the charter?
A: Our charters can accommodate a maximum of 12 passengers per trip to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone.

5. Weather and Cancellations
Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the charter?
A: All charters are subject to weather conditions. We want to make sure your experience is safe and enjoyable, so we monitor the weather closely. We will call you after 4 PM the day before your charter to confirm whether the weather conditions are suitable for the trip. If the weather is unfavorable, we will offer to reschedule or provide a refund.

Q: Is there parking available at the pick-up location?
A: Yes, there is parking available near 125 Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba, for your convenience. Please note that some parting restrictions apply to check the signage when parking
