Bad weather ruining our fun! Especially with the fishing so good of late.Did get out on Friday for a 1/2 day with some hardy punters.Conditions kept us in close on the Currimundi reefs.Everyone kept busy with lots of fish but majority undersize which is a good sign at least.Came back with a good feed of Snapper and Tuskies but felt like we earned them.Cancelled rest of weekend and watching weather patterns patiently now!!
Thursday April 8
Been a good week for us this week.Did a 5 hour trip on Wednesday afternoon and watched the sun go down whilst landing Pearl Perch and Tusk Fish. All on board enjoyed the outing, especially young JJ who was the life of the party!.Colby and Mat enjoyed the trip so much they backed up the next morning on our 3/4 day trip.Again the tuskies were in good number along with pearlies and a nice spotty Mackeral that Mick landed in front of the whole family,he was pretty chuffed!.
2 Great trips that the crew enjoyed as much as the passengers.
Nothing available till next week now.Give us a call.
Tuesday 6 April
Full day out at the 12 mile and fish were a bit reluctant to bite but we ended up with a good haul.Had Jeffrey and his crew back for a return trip and Josh top scored with a nice 10 kg Spaniard.Anna showed partner Rob how it was done with a nice 3 kg Blue Maori Cod.Grassy Sweetlip were in good number and size and we cooked up 30 odd good sized crabs. All in all a good day.
Saturday 3 April
Had a great day aboard Nautic Boy yesterday. The weather kept us in at the Caloundra 12 mile area but the fish were on the bite.A nice range of fish off the bottom including a nice Snapper about 3 kg caught by Adam. The 3 girls aboard did well and may have just outfished the boys!!.Everyone enjoyed the day and it was great for Dan and I to see happy faces and eskys full of fish going up the Jetty at the end of the day.
Monday booked out but Tuesday available, give us a call/
Monday 29 March
Great to get out on the water again after bad weather and cyclone ilui kept us in port.George bought his dad a full day charter with his mates in Saturday and George senior started his day with a 50 kg Black Marlin that was released at the boat..what a birthday experience!!.Great day all round with 3 nice Spaniards.George has booked again for November.
Some spots available over Easter,Book Now.
Wed. 10 March
Weather gods again not being kind to us.Did get out on Wednesday with Jevon and his crew,Chris and young Jesse[I think he wagged school!].Conditions were great around the 12 mile and Mackeral were in good numbers. We landed 3 and I think Jesse’s top scored at 7 kg,shame he wont be able to brag about it at school.Water was really murky from all the fresh and I think that was keeping the reefies off the bite. All in all a great day.Weather is going to shut us down for next weekend but give us a call if you want to go out and we will put you on standby.
Tuesday 2 March
The weather was not kind to us over the weekend and forced us to cancel all trips.Did get out Monday with Mark,Jason and co. and had an enjoyable trip with minimal number of anglers.Again Tuskfish in good numbers and sizes and a lot of Red throat Emperor that were previously undersize are now over 38 cm and giving us some fun.Weather looks good next weekend and have plenty of spots available.Give us a call
Tues 23 Feb
Big Day out.Took Jason and his kiwi mates out on a 3/4 day trip in morning.Fished down through Caloundra 12 mile and landed some nice tuskies and pearlies but Scott and Jason both top scored with a nice Spaniard each around the 7kg mark.
Backed up with an afternoon !/2 day charter with Debbie and her group.Again a good catch of tuskies and Dave made the trip by landing a 8 kg that we nearly lost when the first gaff broke!!.
Spots available on Sunday 28 1/2 day trip.
Sun 21 Feb
Cancelled Saturdays trip conditions were just a bit too rough.Took Daniel and his Mexican friends out to the Banks Sunday and fished the Northern end.Plenty of good size tusk fish around and the boys landed 2 Rainbow Runners that weighed in at 6kg!.Everyone had a great day and Dolphins hitched a ride in our wake on the trip home for some great photo shots.Have a 3/4 day running Tuesday, weather looks great-spots available.
Sat. 13 Feb
Great full day out at the Banks.Geoff and his boys landed a nice spread of reef fish off the bottom including a monster Tusk fish at 5 kg.Trolling rod screamed off on way home and Dimmy battled a 15 kg Mahi Mahi to the boat and the Skipper had it gaffed and in the boat.10 minutes later Kerry was hanging on to the screaming Shimano and a 10 kg Wahoo was alongside the boat,Dan returned to form with the gaff and had it aboard.
Hope to have a half day running on Monday,if anyone interested give us a call.
